HARD ANODISE
Hard anodise is the production of an oxide film on aluminium, which can be electrochemically produced to provide a thick
( typically 25um-50um ) protective coating.
Hard anodise advantages include;
High wear resistance
Hardness 500hv +
Excellent electrical resistance
Temperature resistance
Application varies fo marine and MOD to engineering
e.g. pulleys and rollers.
NATURAL ANODISING
Natural anodise is the formation of aluminium oxide on the surface of aluminium. Which can be used as a decorative or protective coating.
Typical thickness of film ranges from 5um-25um
Natural anodising may be coloured using spacific dyes
Natural anodising advantages include
Wear resistance
Electrical resistance
Temperature resistance
Hard surface
Cosmetic finish
